LLB sealing system - two sealing lips on each sealant, which ride in a matching groove in the inner race to make a labyrinth seal.
The outer sealing lip repels dirt/water, while the inner seals in grease. These seals essentially form a “Hydromatic seal” of grease, when in operation, the grease forming a barrier in the groove.
The letters after the bearing number designate the type of seals that are used in the bearing. “LLB” is a double lip type seal which makes light contact and also runs through a groove which makes a labrinth seal. “2RS” literally means “Two Rubber Seals”
