SHOCKTESTER - equipment for testing rear shock absorbers

THE WORLD'S ONLY SHOCK TESTER WITHOUT GAP

Suspensions nowadays are increasingly technological and the complexity of
components increases so that several points of failure can arise, even in new equipment that has just left the factory. Without a detailed inspection, it is difficult to tell if the shock absorber is working 100% within the manufacturer's parameters. This is when the Shocktester can be a great ally for the mechanic.

What makes SHOCKTESTER different from Session?
We can list some of the simple innovations that make all the difference:

- Solid steel construction with anti-corrosion treatment and machined parts in 7075-T6 aluminum;
- Greater arc between the pivots, limiting the tilting movement of the shock absorber during testing in order to imitate the minimum rotation that occurs in the eyelets, as if the shock absorber were mounted on the bicycle scale;
- Movement without clearance, robust parts, rigid couplings, that is, a perfect combination to eliminate any type of noise or flexion other than that of the shock absorber;
- Lever with angle adjustment (30 degrees) for greater ergonomics, adjustment on benches of different heights, different shock absorber lengths and the possibility of reducing the useful space required when not in use thanks to the joint that allows part of the arm that acts as the lever to be retracted;
- Built using the same bushings that go in the eyelets of modern shock absorbers, all calibrated for the various pins with precision in the thousandths of a millimeter;

DIAGNOSTICS - SERVICE - COMPARE

DIAGNOSIS:
With the shock absorber properly installed in the Shocktester and applying controlled force, it is possible to detect a series of problems such as:
- Inconsistencies in operation for the same force and speed applied (valves out of place or with debris;
- Mixture of gas and oil in the hydraulic part;
- Oil leak that only occurs when moving;
- Lack of pressure in the chamber that pressurizes the IFP or Bladder;
- Incorrect position of the IFP;
- Loose internal parts such as piston, piston screws, among others;
- Damaged rebound and compression adjustments;
- Excess or lack of oil in the damper;
- Air leaks that only occur during movement;
- Failure of pneumatic valves, etc.
- Assisting in bleeding "air pockets" or "chambers with trapped air" in the damper due to a compression circuit with a high pressure threshold for flowing oil such as "blowoff" valves or "relief valves" in firm mode;

SERVICE:

If your shop doesn't perform rear suspension services, the Shocktester
It is also recommended to check whether everything is working correctly in the shock absorber that returns from a specialized maintenance center or even
even a new shock absorber that will be installed. The priority is to protect your
customer from possible accidents.

COMPARE:

Compare a new shock absorber and a used shock absorber:
- Before and after service;
- Different brands and models;
- Feel the differences and identify the reasons for them;
- Feel the different valve ``Tunes´´;
- Understand the force required to disarm the firm mode of each model;
- Compare the different adjustment ranges between each shock absorber in compression and rebound;
Bring the customer closer to the workshop and demonstrate the functions of each adjustment.
Educating the user is an important part of the process and generates reliability in the service.
and in your bike shop.
